My truck was recently shipped via vehicle transporter to my new house. It underwent severe cold and rainy weather while on the shippers trailer (no doubt the parking brake was on). Now it seems the parking brake is locked and won't unlock. Does anyone have any ideas on how to unlock the stuck parking brake? Thanks

I recently faced this problem as well. Pull the parking brake release lever in the cab, and then look along the frame rails for the cable. It will T off into two cables somewhere in front of the rear axle. If that T is not vertical, then follow the shorter of the two cables to the rear wheel it operates, and grab and flex and twist the cable. More than likely, there's moisture in the line and it froze the cable.

That fixed my problem.

If you brought the truck here form rust country, the problem is probably a rusty cable assembly.
