instrument cluster issue?
hey my 6.4l f350 has the 1 always lit as red on the instrument cluster gear selector. Has anyone else had this issue before and what was the fix

should mention if im in park or any other gear that one will be red as well, all other ghears that it is not currewntly in are the normal green

I believe the cause is:
There is a six to eight inch cable that attaches to the shift lever. About the size of a bicycles brake or shift cable diameter.
There is a really fragile plastic clip on both ends. One end to the cluster needle, the other to the handle. One of these could be off.
Only way to have a clean look is to get under the dash and find it. Or pull the cluster carefully to see it.
There is also an adjusting wheel on the cable to align the needle to the desired gear.
