Anyone between Kennewick Wa & Missoula Mt

Does anyone live between Kennewick Wa & Missoula Mt? I'm going to be driving it next Saturday. Wondering what kind of shape the roads will be like. Also what kind of terrain will I encounter? Mountains?

I'm in Idaho so I guess I'm in between. I used to live in the Tri-Cities (Richland) and Lewiston so I should know what I'm talking about, for once.

I'll guess that you are coming across the Lolo Pass on Highway 12 to Lewiston then across the Snake River in to Clarkston, Washington to get to Kennewick. Lolo is the highest pass you will go over and it should be fine this early in the season. Safe travels.

If that route doesn't appeal to you take I-90 to Ritzville (all Interstate) and then state highway. Your call.

Is it better to stay on the freeway & go through Coeur d'Alene ID on I90?

Or take I-90 South to I-15 at Idaho Falls, grab I-86 to I-84, wave to me as you go past Boise, stay on I-84 to Hermiston, then North to Kennewick. Waaaaaaaaaaay longer, but you might see me...

It is better to stay on the Interstate if you like driving on Interstates. The other route is two lanes, with not a lot of passing opportunities. But a prettier drive in the day, miserable at night.

LOL Don't need longer as it will be a long trip back to eastern MT. If I was driving both ways I would take 12 as I love to try new routes.

Highway 12 also has Lolo Hot Springs, you don't need a suit...

Hwy 12 is by far the prettiest drive you'll find. However it is 2 lane curvy river road mostly. Lolo has some snow I believe, but it's been nothing but rain in Idaho.... At this time, lol

I'm in Orofino, so definitely wave as you drive by. And as always, drive safe!
