A "Brick" - that is pretty good, hadn't heard that one before!
Bubblegum & bailing wire was the generation before us
Duct tape and WD40 was our generation
Now the new hip up-to-date redneck has JB Weld and zip ties!

Well if all goes well I have found a nice camper top for the truck. Guy wants $200 for it but it looks well cared for. One more piece to the camper/toy hauler will be out of the way. Gonna see if the guy will let me pay for it this weekend and pick it up the next weekend.Between that and a rear tire for the bike and I'm broke again.

*****, if you need to pick it up this weekend, let me know. I still have the trailer out. Only thing I have going on this weekend is maybe taking Mary to test drive a jeep... she's got the new car bug... and the Jeep bug... Which might mean I get to see a lot more uwharrie trips in my future!

If I can find a decent Honda 300 to pick up, I'll have something to do at uwharrie, not gonna wheel the IDI.

I wouldn't either. I don't remember it being that tight on the trails, but there are a few places you could lose some paint.

So after putting the new plug wires in my truck a month or so ago I got a cylinder 2 misfire. So I swapped a new plug in it last week, the miss fire didn't go away. Today I swapped a old wire back on, it seems the miss fire is gone right now, not to get a few miles on it and hopefully get it inspected. I did take that wore back under warranty and swapped it out, now just have to put it on.

I've had window motor issues for years, thinking it was the glass getting jammed in the track. Finally found the issue, brushes are gone. Surprised it worked 90% of the time still. Had a new replacement motor to throw in thankfully.

After several carb fires, and alot of cranking I finally got Ol' Blue to fire up and clear up.

In the mean time, my main power disconnect on the tailgate melted, aswell as the battery cable between the battery and the disconnect. Possibly fried the start but going to get the messed up wires/disconnect bypassed first before carrying on.

So it's going to be a mad thrash to get this truck to make 2 final passes, however the pits look like they should be right, so hoping it will all be worth it.

Sounds like a busy morning Larry.
Nothing going on here truck related. Shari and I have some errands to get done this morning, then we'll be in the back yard working on stuff for our display.
Y'all enjoy this beautiful weather, and be safe!

Well I finally got Ol' Blue to run so I fired off the dually and went to pull it out but it wouldn't budge. So I disconnected it from the trailer and hooked up my F150 and had the wife pull me across the yard. The dually backs up fine, but something is locked up that won't let it move forward. Passenger side tire moved fine, and I did a 200' long burnout across the yard. After jacking it up this morning it's something locked up on the driver side rear tires. I'll figure it out at some point.

So last night, my buddy Steve rolled his jeep in the pit.

Then while we were checking that out and see what all damage it had my little brother Austin takes off.... wide open making a good pass and bam a sudden stop, followed by a bunch of bad noises. Got it pulled out and started checking it, that's when I found the windowed transfer case.

And then they call me and Steve to make our passes I'm the big pit with the old fords... nothing like pulling up to the line after 2 back to back bad passes for the race team right?

We both made decent passes, mine was a 7.12 that was good enough for 3rd place.

Any bonus points for style? Shesh, glad he is ok.

I'm not positive but I think the gears go inside the transfer case.

Hope yall get the team back in good running shape soon.
