88' F350 CC DRW frame question

Was planning on locating an F250 Super Cab long bed frame and cut the frame aft cab and shorten it about 8" (147" WB) and building a flat bed.

But today I found an 88' F350 Crew Cab, Pickup bed, 2WD, Dually & 460 frame.
I understand the PU bed Dually rear axle and frame is wider than a SRW Pickup or Cab Chassis.

I want a frame to put an 87'-92' extended cab, build a flat bed and shorten the frame aft the cab for about a 147" WB, will use D60 front and SRW Sterling rear axle.

Are there any humps or bumps in this frame that would cause problems?
As in issues using a reg cab frame and putting an extra cab on it and having a shorter bed, because the frame kicks up behind the reg cab for the bed to mount so cab has to be lifted etc.

Will need to weld on new wider set rear spring perches on the SRW Sterling. But would there be any issues mounting an extended cab or something?

Can make brackets to mount 4.9L 6 engine cross member if frame rails are wider in front and just make custom transmission & TC cross member.

Basically will have 4.9L 6, NP435, NP205, F350 D60 front and SRW Sterling rear, new spring buckets up front, Ruff Stuff radius arms etc.

Sorry if I gave to much information, but wanted explain what building.

Cheers, Allen

The cab-n-chassis frames are only narrower BEHIND the cab. Everything from the cab forward is that came as pickup

Dually pickups have the SAME frame as single wheel pickups

I suggest starting with a SUPERcab truck and just add the dana 60.
If you can get a 95-97 SUPERcab short bed that would put you at 139"wb

Here on Big Island choices tend to be somewhat limited. The 88' crew cab is free and in great shape & shortening the frame isn't a problem.

Sorry to ask this again, but have read conflicting info on frame rail thickness and size of C channel.

Is a 85' F250 extended cab 4WD the same size as a 88' F350 CC, 2WD, pickup bed dually, or is the F350 thicker?

Cheers, Allen

I have no clue on brick nose stuff, but the 80-86 f350/f350 are 3/16"

And 92-97 are 1/4"
