96 gas cab and box on 95 7.3 frame? Any issues?
I recently acquired a low mileage 95 f250 4x4 eclb, zf5 7.3 truck that has an absolutely destroyed cab and box. I also have a nice 96 f250 eclb 2wd 351 e4od truck that has a 300k mi engine and toasted transmission. The cab, interior, and box is great on this one. Funny thing is both trucks are the same color. What issues would i have swapping the gas cab to the diesel frame? I know the gas core support is different, and i would have to cut the holes for the shifters. and also swap some wiring in the dash. I'll try to get some pics of the trucks tomorrow.

The shifter holes are a replaceable panel for the trans so you can swap that.
the 4wd shifter you will need to cut the floor though

Ok, sounds doable. Funny thing is that the gas truck has a PS front bumper on it. How funny is that.

Both my old 96 F150 and current 97 F250 had/have removable covers for the 4x4 shifter. The wiring for the dash mounted 4x4 indicator light is also there. Just pop off the cap on the plug, and plug in the harness to the switch on the t-case. Doesn't get much easier than that. Kinda off topic but my wife's 2000 Super Duty 4x4 also has the removable cover for the manual t-case option.
