'98 F150 5.4L 2V | Metal in Spark Plug Tube

Hey guys! I've finished replacing 7 out of the 8 spark plugs from my engine. The last one that I cannot get out is, unfortunately, the passenger rear one.

My spark plug socket is simply not catching onto the hex on the spark plug. I've tried this solution already: SOLUTION.

However, the pipe gets stuck on a certain point while twisting it. So, I borrowed a borescope from a friend and took a look inside. This is what I found.

Does anyone have any idea what it is and how I can get it out?
Thanks!

Use some sort of probe to dig it out then a magnet to retrieve it from the hole. If its non-magnetic compressed air or a strong vacuum cleaner over the hole might bring it out of the head.

It won't budge even with the pipe I crafted from the thread I posted above. I even cut the pipe so it would grab it twisting counter-clockwise and clockwise in case it is getting jammed in between the well and hex.

I've tried a magnet already and have already blew out the well with a compressor.

I haven't tried a probe yet. Would it work even though the pipe won't budge it?

I have no idea what you've done so far really but if its not worked so far you'll have to keep trying until its gone or the plug can be grabbed and loosened with a socket. Unfortunately not ever internet posted fix for an unusual problem like this works every time.

While I don't necessary advocate this perhaps putting the socket and an extension in place then tapping or striking it will crush the bit enough so the socket flats can grad just enough of the plug hex?

I've seen washers standing up inside that bore interfering with plug removal and they too have been stuck in place---wiggling a probe there has worked most times.

Sorry I can't be more helpful---hope this gets easier for you!
