352 in a 66 F100

Hi All going to start with my re build.
Truck has a good 352.. Kinda want to keep the block.. Have a set of c8ae-h heads. want to make a solid lifter motor.. Have a comp 292s cam
Is this cam too much for this motor??
Could bore 0.050 and install scat 3.98 kit??
keeping it manual tranny
Any Thoughts??

From the Comp Cams write up on JEGs:

"The 294S Solid Magnum Cam is a maximum performance cam. This cam should be used in high compression 4-speed cars. The 294S makes great top-end power and works well with ported heads"

You gonna run 11:1 compression and 4.56 or 4.88 gears?

You do not need solid lifters. Roller hydraulics work just fine if you want to have a more aggressive cam. But I think that cam is too hot for pickup motor unless you are going drag racing.

Correction again, I need new glasses lol
Cam is a comp 282S, I have comp 812-16 solid lifters, a buddy gave me a new set of Crane adjustable rockers 1.76 adjustable #34772-16, and a new set of crane push rods #34645-16.
I have a good set of rebuilt c8ae_h heads, will need different springs
Motor I'm going to use, I just stripped it down , d6 or 8te 390 block already bored 30 over, I will take it to 40 over to clean up bores, a 3U crank, alreadt 10 under, but in real nice shape.
I'm not sure about intake and carb.. I will do some light porting and polishing myself.
I need to sourse out some pistons, don't want to break the bank, but would like forged set. the rods I have are c6ae-b, do ya all think they will be ok??
