my new 7.3 winter truck

Thanks again guys. I remember when the neighbor originally bought it, the body was perfect. It's far from now. It looks good from a distance, but does have quite a few minor dents, etc. He somehow managed to push the top rear of the box inward a half inch or so too. I may try to push that over.
Here is the real good thing about finding this truck. I had almost talked myself into selling it again. I always used my 76 for the winter. The other day I fired it up to get ready for a big snow coming (97 in the shop getting fixed up yet). No oil pressure, big rattling in the motor. Well, guess it was good that I found this truck. Definitely not selling now.
Haven't had much time to work on it. SD gets new license plates in January, so not going to license it till then anyway. I've got the 4 inch straight pipe exiting in the stock location on now. New gp's, gpr, vac pump in. The front seats have 1 bolt holding each in, and are not factory. I've got a set of buckets out of my 76 that are from a 2000 intrepid iirc. I'm just going to put them in.
I could drive it now, but have a list of about 10-12 other little things I'm going to fix up first.

I finally got all my things on my list done on this truck. I bought a set of red seats out of a 150 to put in. The mounts needed a little modifying. I thought they would have been the same, guess not. Also noticed this truck must have had a bench seat, no holes for the mounts for the 40/20/40 seats ( I think that's what they are called). I modified one mount on each seat then bolted them in. They don't look to bad being red in a tan interior. Plenty good for me. A little clean up today and its done for now.
You wouldn't believe the wiring I pulled out or fixed on this truck yesterday. Wiring for amp, speakers, antennas, multiple wires hanging out of dash, wires for ipod I think, wires for multiple cig lighter adapters, and more I had no idea what the heck they were. Quite a few wires that were just cut hanging. One wire ran from the fuse box out the front, under the cab, behind the transfer case, over to the pass side above the exhaust, going to nowhere...
Monday after work I will get some license plates, fuel it up, and bring it home, finally.

Living in Maine has its disadvantages sometimes, like being the furthest away from any desireable automotive whatnot; but, I'll tell you its just about the most relaxing place to reside..
I love that quote, its not mine but being a gearhead I can totally appreciate it from a mechanical standpoint..

I didn't have a big list Byron, just a bunch of little things like get the radio working, seats in, front kickpanel on, door panel repaired, door handle put on instead of the piece of 1/2 inch round stock bent to work, remove homemade mudflaps, patch big a$$ hole in the box from the stacks, etc.. The main things were the 4 inch straightpipe instead of stacks, gp's and gpr, and vacuum pump.
Tan would have been nice, but the red looks ok, plenty good for what I'm using it for. I can tell it needs injectors (real surprise @ 374k), but i'm gonna run with it for now. If my money tree gets a little bigger I'll do what I said before and throw my stage ones from my red truck in (they were just a budget build upgrade, no new parts), and put a fresh set of premiums in the red truck.

The truck has a pretty long crank before it fires. I haven't done any testing/checking with ae or anything yet. I was just chalking it up to worn injectors, but thought I'd take a look at the ipr tin nut today. It has no tin nut. Lol. There is a big a$$ nut/washer on it. I can't believe the way he had this truck rigged. I don't know if that is any of my problem as the solenoid is tight, but I've got the original ipr out of my other truck that was working fine (replaced with a new one to make me feel better), and a couple ipr oring kits so I'll put that one in and see if it makes any difference.
