With a full tank of e10 and fuel stabilizer you can easily let it sit until spring if you wish.

I'd recommend heavily against regular gas in the winter. As the tank warms and cools condensation WILL happen. Far better to have the alcohol in the tank to emulsify the water, than pure gas and have the water pool at the bottom and no where for it to go except the fuel pump, lines and injectors.... Water doesn't burn very well.

Lots of hub-bub about ethanol "attracting water" and it does, but it is a sealed system, the only water in there will come from condensation, not the atmosphere.

Also, look for the blue stabil. It is for marine use and is geared toward ethanol fuel... But the real reason to use it is that it goes twice as far. 1oz/5gal vs 1oz/2.5gal for the red stuff.

If it's a sealed system, then the only condensation would be whatever there was from the atmosphere anyway of course. Keep the tank full will minimize this.

I've used it on all of my small engines that sit over winter and have had good luck with them starting right up in the spring.

Thanks for the solar trickle charger inside the vehicle idea, I might have to look into that.

That's what I found as well. The only battery that was comparable was a wal mart brand battery. it had an 850 CCA rating with a 3 year free replacement for $109.00. I'm not sure if people have had luck with those batteries or not, but I didn't' want to experiment given my circumstances.

would the fuel stabilizer do the same thing in regards to ice in the fuel lines?
I had great luck with a Walmart better y in '88 F-150. My truck would sit for 80-120 days while I was at sea and my wife would never drive the truck because it was an M5OD. Never had any issues with the battery in the five years that I had it. The truck cranked as well after 120 days sitting as it did from sitting overnight.
