Bed Support Rails
Hello,
hope someone can help me with my stupid question.
Everytime I go under my truck to work on anything(with a 10 inch lift its kinda easy) I cant help but look under the bed and curse the rails that go from the drivers side to passenger side, supporting the bed. There completely rotted out while the bed is still in great shape.
So that brings me to my question... what the hell are they called? And is there anywhere I can find them without buying a whole bed?

Go by a body shop and have them check their parts/repair books. You will come closer to finding them or a source for them if they are available there.
Maybe you can get some rails from and older model truck, say from the 70's and mod them to work?
After looking at LMC Truck, the parts I think you are looking for are called Cross Sills.

Cross sills are the name I guess. Could have sat here all day and never guessed that.
Managed to find a repair kit for them within a few seconds once I knew what I was looking for.
