Right their is prime example of someone working on vehicle who shouldn't and why the PowerStroke has a bad reputation. IMO

You need to know what you are doing, have the right tools and not promote panic. For me, I do have to agree with Bill, new is expensive and why I elect to purchase Gas the next time around if I buy new because of my own use of a truck.
bpounds is right. Given on the surface of his message, don't buy any of the power stroke trucks.

I could easily get away with a gas truck 98% of the time. It's that 2% though that gets me. Also doesn't help I like diesels more to begin with.

But they're all late 6.0s he's selling, so you want to run right down there with yours so he can tell you how expensive the fix is right before he low-***** you an offer....

I just hate to tell my two friends that have had close to zero problems with their 6.4s that they were DESIGNED to be a throw away motor at 150K.

Really?!! Is that why they started with the 6.0 as the basis of the design? How the heck can you say: if I fix 'em right for you these 6.0s will go 500K, then personally own a "Throw-away" truck you just trashed, and...

Have freakin' anybody believe you????

I may have made a mistake

I found this video after I had made deal to trade my 05 F250 Amarillo package which was a solid truck on a low mile 2012 F350 6.7L, albeit all of the related 6.0 problems and a lot of out of pocket expenses since most occurred after warranty. Debated long and hard about gas options this time but I tow and haul a lot and when I do it's usually at or above the max at least for the 05. Was only at 230K miles on the 05 but was looking at needing to dump another 5K-10K or so to keep it going for another 10 years. About a 50/50 split on mechanical versus cosmetics and comfort. I don't know that the 6.0 is best deal or not but truck was great when it was working did anything I asked it to and only modification I made was to remove muffler and straight pipe and decent off road tires the first week I bought it new. I was usually the first call when somebody else had an issue and needed bailing out. Hopefully, I won't regret the decision on the new truck but like some have said trucks are meant to be used hard just have to remember to take care of it like you would any other tool or asset for the job and understand they will break at some point along the way.

Talk about throat Chopping , I think Bill has had some done to him , sorry can't stand him , he is a little knowledgeable about the power stroke in this vid but he's Mechanic gone truck salesmen and everybody knows how much I hate Salesmen , other vids of Bill he Bashes the 6.0 real bad, so now that we all know how great of a truck the 6.0 really is , bill might have turned the page and is finely learning what we all have know for 11 years

We had a tree service in his town buy an 6.0 Long Block from us and when he went looking for a shop to install it, the guy started bad mouthing us, telling our customer that we didn't know what we were doing and that he should get his money back. Our customer told me that he said that he would never waste the time or money to put one of our engines in.
Having never dealt with the guy, I don't have a lot of respect. I have always wondered how anyone who is credible in the diesel world would ever have enough time to make all of those videos.

Bullitt390, I really don't know what the hell you are talking about.
Our reputation is why we have experienced an increase in business of 80 to 100% per year for the past 4 years.

I think bill shares a lot of good info. After buying my used 2004 I realized that I have one solid Vehicle. The verdict is yet to be determined if I need a new oil and egr cooler. Bill's videos got me interested in the 6.0.
