New truck delivered with aftermarket remote start

So,

I purchased a new F250 on Tuesday and it turns out the dealer had a aftermarket remote start installed vs the Ford kit I specified. I called the dealer on it and they sent a email offering refund, but I paid for a factory kit so it could be serviced at any dealer under warranty.

If the dealer won't have the aftermarket kit replaced by a dealer local to me (I'm about 90 min from them but have a few much closer) and get possible warranty issues resolved I was curious folks here thought the next step would be.

Other than the remote start issue I'm enjoying it.

Thanks.

I'd be having them replace that after-market with the real deal....you paid for it for a reason. Make 'em stick to the deal!

The dealer is trying to make it right and was going to have a local (much closer) dealer install it, but the local dealer apparently won't do the install and needs some outfit contracted with Ford to do the installation. Same for the dealer I purchased it from.

So, they're going to send someone out to pickup the truck, leave me a loaner and take it back to get the work done, then return the truck. They are also going to try to a Ford VSS install I was planning on having done at the same time. We'll see how things go. I posted elsewhere about whether the remote start needs the antenna since one spot doesn't mention it, but the antenna description say's its needed for all upgrade applications.

Some of the aftermarket units are much better than factory in terms of range etc. However, I understand your reasons for wanting the "ford" one just for warranty purposes.
