replacement clutch

My 1990 F250, w/460 & ZF 5 spd trans is in need of a new clutch.

What clutch brand is recommended? I don't need a high $$$ one, just one that is equal to or better than OEM.

Thanks

How many miles do you have on that clutch ? original ?

If it were mine, I would seriously considering of Motocraft parts.

You may need to think about several items;

1- Clutch disk , 2-Pressure plate , 3-TO bearing , 4- pilot shaft bearing ,5- resurface flywheel, 6- master & slave cylinders (especially if you have an internal slave cylinder).

Good luck,

Thanks,
I called a local shop (Rialto, CA) "Clutch Masters", they just quoted me $289 with everything but the resurfacing ($50 extra). Better than stock, but not a harsh engagement racing unit.
Anyone have any feedback on them?

I agree on the OEM parts, but................

I checked with the Motorcraft (Red & white label)supplier, no OEM parts are available. I called the local Ford Dealer for the (Blue & white label), they said they could order the throw out bearing, & the pilot bearing, that's all Ford sells.
