'56 Inteior Color Chart

Does anyone know where to find a interior color chart? I thought my interior was Diamond Blue trim with a over all medium blue interior thought it was Bermuda Blue.

But I was looking in my "All the Facts" book I have and it says for a Diamond Blue interior it lists the color of different trim pieces and it says the over all color of the interior trim is "Medium Blue Metallic".

I am trying to figure out what the paint code is so if I cant order the paint online I can at least have it mixed up to be the proper color.

Thanks for the picture and the reply. I know the Trim code is H for the interior. That comes back as Blue Scroll Cloth/Blue Trim.

This does not help on the actual color how ever. My "All the Facts" book says with a diamond blue exterior your interior was "Medium Blue Metallic" with the center of the dash trimmed in the Diamond Blue exterior paint. I can get the Diamond Blue just fine but this Medium Blue Metallic is what is eluding me at the moment.

I found some paint chips from Paintref.com and under Acme the back of the sheet has "Interior Colors".

What it says is as follows

3157 Blue Metallic

729 Medium Metallic Fill to 36 1/2

Color Mfgrs. Color Comb. No. M2J-536

It looks like its a mix of Blue Metallic 3157 and Medium Metallic 729 but I am un sure. I will probably have to get this mixed locally at AJ Foyt Paint and I don't know how much help the would be so I want to get as much information as possible to help out.

I could go the quick and easy route and just go Bermuda blue which is a medium blue like everyone else but I want to go back like it was originally and I am curious how the Medium Blue Metallic would look with Diamond Blue trim in the center of the dash.

This is a link to the paint chip page that I typed out the information from.

Is this for your 56 Fairlane? The truck paint codes are likely different from the car codes.

I will give that a try. If I can just get the mixing code atleast so I can have a local shop mix some up for me I will be fine. I am not ready for a complete paint of the interior but I have a new automatic shifter bezel trim from another car as my shifter lens is busted so I figured I would strip this bezel down and paint it and clear it to see how it looks and see if I want gloss clear or a satin finish clear for the interior.

Its for my Fairlane yes. Correct the truck trim codes are two letters just like the Thunderbird trim codes is two letters as well. But the paint card for interior should show for all colors that are used in trucks and cars.

Except for the truck interior painted parts were the same color as the exterior. That's what threw me.

Really?

I originally thought my interior was painted Bermuda Blue which is an exterior color with Diamond Blue trim which is the color of the exterior.

What threw me was when I looked in my "All the Facts" booklet it said "Medium Blue Metallic" which I know Bermuda Blue is not a metallic paint then I found that Acme paint card that on the reverse side has an interior chart but I cant make heads or tails of it. Its like the color is made out of two different colors but I don't know if I walk in to my local paint shop and give the two codes and show him a copy of the chart if the could make it properly so it would be identical in mix to the original.
