FE pushrods
As if the intake wasn't a problem as I was tearing down I decided to measure the pushrods for the hell of it. First one was at 9.539 and I went really. So on one side of original to the engine when I got it I got two at 9.539, three at 9.571-73 and three at 9.560-65. Like where did a 9.539 come from? Same for the 9.571?
I guess I will take out my pushrod checker, make that buy one, since mine max out at 8.50" for small blocks.

There are over and under-sized pushrods for these motors, as there is no adjustment at the rockers.

On the other hand, if the valves are all level, they really should all take the same length pushrod.

You're going to have to check valve-lash when you get the intake back on it (or it can be done with the intake off), and you'll need to keep track of which pushrod goes where. Using pushrods that are too long will get you bent pushrods
