What is this truck worth? Looking for advice before I buy.
I have been shopping for a clean 2005 - 2007 6.0L Dually, loaded with at least studs and egr already installed.
I have found a couple that I am interested in but the one I like the best I feel is overpriced but I am trying to decide what to offer so I figured I would get the opinion from all of you. The truck was a repo and then purchased by the small dealer that is now selling it, so some things are not known and there is no paperwork for the work that has been done.
2006 F350 Dually Lariat 4x4 - loaded including sunroof
127K
Head Studs / EGR Delete
Bulletproof Oil Cooler Relocation
At least rebuilt/possibly upgraded injectors (they don't know)
Upgraded turbo - they believe to be a Powermax or equivalent
FASS fuel system with return
Edge tuner/monitor with EGT and custom tunes
Cold Air Intake and aftermarket exhaust
All brand new tires
Gooseneck hitch
It is the charcoal/black two tone and is said to be clean with the exception of evidence of a past repair to one of the dually fenders. They said you can see some of the cracking coming back if you look close. (haven't seen it in person yet because it is 4+ hours away from me) The only other issues is the center console stitching coming apart and there are a couple dents/low areas inside of the bed from hauling stuff in it. Carfax is clean. A few pictures at the links below. What would a good deal be? Thanks for the advice!

It looks pretty clean and reasonably well taken care of, but you didn't mention the price (aside from saying that you thought it to be overpriced).
Since it's four hours away from you, I'd suggest calling 'em up again and trying to work a deal over the phone- contingent on a final inspection by yourself and a diesel mechanic in the area (You ought to be able to call around to some shops ahead of time and get an inspection scheduled before you leave out for the dealership). See if they'll work with you on the price as you're going to need to go four hours to get it and because all of the work done to the truck to make it more reliable doesn't raise their value much beyond what the truck would otherwise be worth (i.e. it's worth about the KBB value unless the head gaskets have gone at which point it's worth a heck of a lot less; and unless you know who did the work on installing the head bolts, the work may as well as not have been done).
I wouldn't be too worried about the minor damage to the interior, if nothing else you can find a replacement console from a wreck in a junkyard.
Just make sure the power/drive trains are in good condition and there's no severe rusting issues and you ought to be able to get the rest of the vehicle back up to snuff even if it takes a few years doing minor repairs here and there.
With the monitor installed you ought to be able to check most of the numbers on it and see that they match up to the ones in the tech folder.
So if you can let us know what the asking price is, others can give you better advice base on their own experiences.

Thanks for your thoughts. I didn't put the asking price because I didn't want to bias anybody's opinions on value. I did look up the NADA value and "Clean Retail" is 22,625 but I know blue book isn't always a good indication of market value, especially on diesel trucks. I will say they are asking more than the NADA value of $22,625.

That oil cooler relocation is like $1300, tuner is $600, headstuds with gaskets are $500 if you do it yourself, over $2k if done by a shop. Fuel pressure regulator/fuel filter bowl has been swapped out, doesn't look like "FASS" but it's been done. That costs money too. It appears by the 4th picture that it has a CCV reroute done, since that hose is hanging down.
Rust under the cab is minimal and can be corrected with a wire brush and some paint. That bed warpage means heavy loads of rock/dirt/gravel at times. I would take a good hard look at the bed cross rails.
Bad things that can be seen in the engine pic;
1. Aftermarket oil filter cap. May be a NAPA filter. Nothing wrong with it, as long as it hasn't been reused with a motorcraft filter. Everyone claims the motorcraft filter/cap are the best. I've been using NAPA cap/filter combo for years with no problems. As long as you sue the right filter with the right cap, you're golden.
2. Find a stock filter housing and filter. CAIs don't work and if its an oil/cotton type, it's dusting your turbo.

Price might be in line in your area but in south Georgia it would be high. My brother's gf (yes his 26 year old gf), bought an '06 Lariat CCLB DRW in April with 168k miles on it. Immaculate, senior citizen owned, bulletproofed for $18K. Private sale.
Looks like the back seat has never been sat on and other than their 5th wheel I don't think anything has ever been in the bed except groceries...
