I have a 96 f150 with the 302 that I'm rebuilding and looking to put in a hot cam and alot of them are listed up to model year 94 would it still work to put that cam in my 96 302 its a melling cam that the engine shop I'm having do the machining likes to use and was wondering if it will work or if programming will be needed

 

If you are keeping the factory heads then keep the factory spec. roller cam then add some 1.7 roller rockers. The factory roller is decent as is, just need a little more lift. Save your money for some long tube headers and high flow cat.

 

I already have heddman long tubes for it and a high flow cat the stock roller cam is junk rounded off and wore out so I was looking to put a different cam in to give it a different sound like a slight (rough) idle
