Question 418W stroker coolant leak

Afternoon,
I am getting back to my 418W build I had for my 88F250. I bought a kit off summit racing 7 years ago, assembled the engine and when it came to topping off the fluids I messed something up on the build. Now I am getting back into finishing the project for my 78 F250 and I remembered that there was coolant coming out of my timing cover to water pump holes. I had everything bolted up and when I topped off the radiator and started to crank coolant would come out.
Any thoughts? Before I put this into my 78 I will be looking for newer heads and going through the block one more time(I sold my AFE's when the truck frame was discovered to be cracked at the transfer case cross member)

I plan on changing it to carburetor and GT40 heads on it. I will most likely have to get a more mild cam for it, I remember the cam was a 2100-8000rpm cam. I want to go from 1000-6500 rpm on this engine. Will a stock C6 hold up?

Coolant comes out of the water pump bolt holes? If so you forget to add RTV sealant to those threads.

You put stock heads and intake on a 418w? Even with GT40s this motor is going to run face first into a brick wall at 4000rpm so you need a really small cam... or much bigger heads.

No I had AFR185s on it. When I pulled the engine out of the truck when I sent the truck to the scrap yard I pulled the heads and sold them, I needed the cash. Originally I wanted to put the block into a 280z but the Z was too far gone, I would of had to make a tube frame because the rust was so bad (frame rails from engine mounts to rear frame, floors, shock mounts front rear, doors, rear inner and outer quarters. The car was free.
I've had the block sitting since I joined the Army (2008)

Thanks for the warning about the GT40 heads I will have to get another set of good heads I guess. Looks like I'm putting off this project for another few months.

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the freeze plugs that are on the front of the engine to just be sure I put them in correctly. I was 18 when I assembled this engine who knows I could of screwed up.

Check out the Corral and look for a set of TrickFlow heads.
