73' front tank filler neck leak help please...

I've been battling this truck for 2 years now. It's a 73 ford f250. Finally it is running and ready to go and just like clock work, the front filler neck sprang a leak. It's the metal portion, not the rubber, which I already replaced.
I cannot locate a replacement filler neck. It's a small hole and when under pressure the gas squirts out like a squirt gun. The rear tank has not been used in years and I'm hesitant to use it instead.

A)Does anyone have experience in repairing a leak such as this rather than replacing it?

B) if not repairable, does anyone know of a source for a replacement filler neck?

Thanks

Well, in a pinch, you could get some of that gas tank 2 part epoxy stick. It works great. Fixed a puncture in a work truck gas tank and it lasted for years. But, unless it is rusted out and really swiss cheese, welding it up would be a good fix. You would want to remove it from the truck, and clean it up good first. As far as a new one, I would just look at the normal vendors.

If you have to replace it, I would replace the rear one and use that as the main or single unit. It seems it would be easier to do of the two. If you do the front, take pics and give us the step-by-step since I'll be doing that this winter.

When I replaced the rubber on the filler hoses and the sending units, I just pulled the bed. It was way easier than I thought it would be, and everything is laid out right in front of you.
The only hard part was getting some of the boats out on the bed.

Yes taking a bed off would be more difficult if it had boats in it.

Have not looked at what it takes to remove that tube from the truck but mine may become available. Its from a 74. My front tank rotted out bad and I could not locate a decent one locally so I deleted it. Am running the rear plastic tank that I put a new sender in and installing a bed mount transfer tank. My rig is only going to be used as a trailer hauler - 5th wheel or tow behind - so a bed mount tank isn't going to hurt the real estate in the bed any. I figure to leave the cap and flange on the truck even though there is nothing behind it. Let me know if you are interested and I will take a closer look at mine. Don't remember there being any issues with the tube. May offer up the tank straps as well since they are just belly button jewelery at the
