If this thread is still active I would like to make contact with someone for purchase of a 48-53, Ford, V8 Flathead engine with good compression in all eight. Complete engine and/or block with tested compression. The phone nbr was no good. Thank you and good luck with the rest.

I have my dad's old '53 merc engine-got it apart to find the rebuild shop 50 years ago swapped out the merc crank.... Would your friend have a good '53 merc crank?
