Trailer disconnected

Pulling nice trailer with electric brakes. Lights all work. Dash shows trailer disconnected off and on. Sometimes connected, sometimes not. Fuses appear good. Any help?

Sounds a lot like a poor connection or loose wiring on the trailer. Easiest place to start is to inspect and clean out the connector.

Very common problem. Seven pin receptacle on at the rear, usually on the back side where the wires connect, but first do the obvious and work the connection in and out a couple of times to see if you can improve the connection.

I second checking the 7 pin connection. There are times when one rear light will work and the other one will not (when I was towing the boat) and pulling out the 7 pin and reinstalling it a few times until the contacts align better always worked.

Also open up the receptacle and make sure the pins are free of corrosion.

I had the exact same problem, I replaced the trailer side connector and the problem went away.
