262-6 valvetrain parts

Anybody know if 223 and 262 rocker arm parts are the same? I need rocker arms and the shaft/tube they mount on for my 63? 262.
DC lists 6 cyl rocker arms, plus I have a couple of 223 parts engines that may have a usable shaft. Just need to know if they interchange?
Thanks!

According to my interchange manual they use the same parts. It reads, C1AZ 6531 A support, C1AZ 6563 A shaft, B6A 6564 A rocker arm, B6A 6587 A spring, Ford truck 64, 6-223, 6-262 L.D. & H.D.

Crop duster, thanks for the info! I pulled the rockers from one of my 223's but they are kinda used up too.

Bonus question; which oil tube is supposed to feed the rocker shaft, front or back?

Someone has jury rigged mine with a single line from the rear with copper tubing and fittings. Lots of oil everywhere, but not sure it is working right.

on the 223 Rear tube takes oil from the galley and fills the rocker tube which distributes to the rockers and then pushes oil back down the front tube into the pan. Be careful of any rocker tube you get. I got two that were mis-drilled before I finally got a right one.

Thanks. I'm gonna try to use the 223 shaft and rockers....will double check the oil feed holes. Hope to use the 223 oil tubes as well.

I noticed the 223 uses different length adjuster screws in the rockers too.....will have to swap those also.

ND, it's interesting the book shows the adjusting screws having the same length, 1 pc vs 2 pc....the 1 piece screws are longer(more threads).

Anyhow, I got it all back together today and it runs much better. Much quieter too...
