New Here with 4R55E Problem

So I had my trans rebuilt about a year ago (2000 Ranger 4X4 3.0 FF auto) after breaking the reverse band and putting a hole in the side of the transmission. Hole was patched and rebuilt trans was shifting fine up till a couple of days ago on the freeway I lost 3rd and 4th gears then pulled over and everything was fine. The next day it happened intermittently while driving and all I had to do was throw it in N and it shifted fine. now I have no 3rd or 4th engagement.
No CEL on, no OD light flashing but when I checked code in memory (pending codes) I had 0733, 0744, 1751 & 1741. Fluid is clean and full, 1st 2nd and reverse all work perfectly but when it shifts to 3rd it sort of feels like it going into N but it's more like its going back to 1st but I can put it in 2nd and it drives fine. I check the resistance of the shift solenoids and they are all right at 26 ohms, looking at the pids on the Modus I don't have output shaft speed sensor signal while driving but looking at the transmission I don't have an output shaft speed sensor on the extension housing. I am wondering if I have a valve body problem? Any super star tranny guys here that may have an answer?
Thanks for your time in advance.

i think you could be right about the valve body gasket. i had the updated one fail 6 months ago, the glue failed on the bonded gasket and the gasket would leak from one oil gallery to another, and the tranny would lose pressure, this is were i would look first, and i hope thats all it is for you. good luck

Update:
Finally had the time to work on my truck, found all shift solenoids were within spec as far as resistance goes (26 ohms).
Unplugged the main harness to the the transmission and it should have defaulted to 3rd gear but it didn't. Solenoid #1 wasn't working. Swapped it out and 3rd and 4th gears came back with no other issues.
Not every problem with these transmissions are a valve body gasket, most are but not all.
Last problem I had with this transmission was the reverse band broke and put a hole in the side of the transmission housing.

Thanks for the info, where did you get your trans rebuilt?
Sounds like they did a good job.

Haha, actually I pulled it and gave it to a transmission re builder that I use on a regular basis. He did use new solenoids but one just happened to fail.

Hello,
What resistance should I have for the 2 bigger solenoids. The 4 small black ones I have are all at 26 ohms, but the other 2 are at 4 ohms and 10 ohms.
What should the big ones be?
Thanks

Not sure off the top of my head, what are the symptoms and what codes are you getting? If I know what codes you have I can look at the pinpoint charts and possibly be able to tell you.
