1992 f150 4x4 issues

Hey guys I'm posting about my 92 f150 again. I tried to use the 4x4 the other day and I couldn't get it to go to 4 high. I have the manual shift 4x4 but the stick wouldn't move past 2wd. It moves about an inch back but won't go past that. Any ideas of why?
