possible to remove rear ac leaving front ac working?

i never plan to use my xlt as a people mover anymore so im wondering if i can remove the rear ac so i can mount a subwoofer there?

You would have to plug the lines and you should be good..just cut the rubber and use some kind of a plug. I'll bet a 1/2 pex fitting would work.

If you plan on using just the front half of the AC again, obviously you will need to purge and refill after cutting out the rear section. It would be better to plug the high pressure fluid line at the accumulator, and replace the Y-suction line with a straight line at the compressor input.

theres no freon in there now. i checked.i hope to get it repaired.

There are shut off valves inline underneath near the rear a/c at least on the later models.
