Dummy alarm lights on my f250 help

Hey I just purchased some led dummy lights off eBay , it has a positive and a negative . I was wondering is there a wire that either grounds or turns hot when I turn ignition off for the led to start blinking ? Here's the item I purchased Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141451225044&alt=web

I don't know of any power source that is switched hot with the key off.

What you will probibly have to do is install a normally closed SPDT (single pole double throw)relay that activates with a key on power source. When you remove the power the relay closes completing the circut and the light starts flashing.

Using the diagram above...

Replace the line with a switch to a line that receives key on power.

Using a SPDT relay the relay will close when you remove power ( shut off the truck) completing the circut and illuminating the LED.

When you switch the truck to run, or start it the relay will open removing power ( or ground depending on how you want to look at it) from the relay and the LED will shut off.

Just hook it up to a couple of potato batteries. Gotta cut some new potato slices every month though!

Just a thought!
