Replacing cup holder 2008 F-250
Today I learned how to replace the lower dash cup holder on my F-250.
1. First thing to do is to remove the lower dash panel under the steering column. It pulls off easily as there are no screws on it just push clips.
2. Remove the lower coves plates on the center dash panel with a flat bladed screw driver (I unplugged cigarette lighter for pictures). There is a slot under them to insert the screw
driver then pry them up.
3. Remove the screws behind the cover plates.
4. Lift up the center panel but don't remove it.
6. Remove the two screws in the center under the center panel.
7. Open the cup holder and remove the two screws in the back of it.
8. On the Left hand side of the lower panel remove the screw now the panel will come out.
9. The right side is a push in clip, just pull out the lower panel.
10.Remove the two Philips screws from the back of the cup holder and swap out cup holder units.
11.Reverse the order of these steps to reinstall Dash covers.
I hope this helps someone out there. Easy DIY project if done right.
Canter dash board covers removed. screw locations high lighted.
Center screw location behind center dash. There are two screws here.
This is how far you need to pull dash up.
This is all you need, a 7mm socket and driver, medium and small flat blade screw drivers, number 2 Philips not pictured.
