Help Identify a sensor

Well doing my air intake I noticed a busted wire. I have attached a picture of what looks like a sensor, it is the grey one next to my finger and there seems to be three running down the passenger side of the engine. Anyone know what is is?

If I'm seeing what I think you're pointing at, that is the fuel injector, and they have a connector that needs two wires in order to function properly. Are you looking for a reason why your vehicle is running rough? Might be a bingo here.

Makes sense because the sensors seem to run down what I think are the rails. Maybe I will grab another pic, weird it didn't flash any codes.

Yep, that's a fuel injector. Solder it back together and seal it with a heat shrink (don't forget to put on the heat shrink BEFORE soldering ).

What negative affect would that have? Would it only be running on 7 cylinders? Would that mean I probably have to replace that plug as well? Looks like its been desoldered for a long long time.

Hard to see the colors on those wires, but if it's the negative ground wire, it might actually have been able to get a contact to ground through the rail or something and kept going, if you don't have any check engine light then the circuit must be intact somehow. The PCM will quickly detect and set a code if the circuit to an injector is broken and it will give a check engine light. It looks like you have enough wire to work with to solder it back on if you find the other end, shouldn't be a hard thing to do once you get access to it. In the worst case, the pigtail connector for an injector is relatively cheap at 10 or 20 bucks depending on the brand.

Yep...I'll throw my hat into the ring too, it's a fuel injector.
