Front Brake Caliper Bracket Mounting Bolts 2006 Expedition

I broke a front brake caliper bracket mounting bolt today while re-installing the caliper. I was torquing it to the specified 148 ft lbs when I heard it snap. Luckily it was not completely broken into two pieces and was able to back out the bolt.

It is a M14x1.5 10.9 50mm flange bolt.

Since it is Sunday afternoon I had to settle with a M14-1.5 8.8 50mm hex blot and washer from the hardware store to get it back on the road. Loctite used on reassembly.

Problem is that no where can I find any reference to the M14x1.5 bolt; all references are for M14x2.0 which I could had gotten at the hardware store but mine are definitely M14x1.5.

Do I have some alien Expy with non-standard caliper mounting brackets?

Any and all comments appreciated.

That explains it, the bolts are different for 2wd versus 4wd with 4wd being much more commonplace.

Yeah, the problem that I've encountered is that I haven't been able to find a M14x1.5. All that I've been able to find in M14 10.9 is 2.0 threads. Just saying.

You just have to know where to look!

These 2 bolts are identical except for one has threads all the way up and the other doesn't. Choose your poison.

do you have a fastenal in your area?

no m14x1.5 flange bolts, but plenty of regular hex bolt/cap screw.
