My dad is helping his neighbor fix his '48 F1 flathead, which recently developed a significant leak in the heater core. The core that the auto parts store said it was definitely wasn't, and the old core/heater box has no markings of a part number/manufacturer anywhere. We suspect this box was retrofitted after the fact, possibly about 20 years ago when he had it professionally restored.

Does anyone recognize the below box/core?

Contact Universal Carnegie Manufacturing in PA . They will be able to hook you up w/ a heater core Plan on spending around a C-note.

 

Thanks for the info. We were able to find a place locally to rebuild that heater core and it worked just fine. Now the speedometer is another story...
