I have a 2011 F350 dually lariat FULLY loaded. I love the truck (my first real truck). My passenger mirror will not power out with the drivers side one unless you put pressure on it. It will go out fine with someone helping it a little but when I'm by myself its a little hard. Is there a belt in there I can replace or do I need to buy a brand new mirror? Also how would I take it apart. Anyone have location of digital repair manuals for this truck online a brother could download. I just have to say this again "OMG I love my new truck". Everyone turns their heads when I come by. God I love it.

I do believe it is a worm style gear in there.


Sounds like the motor is weak.


I have no idea on how to take it apart hopefully someone will chime in soon.


The mirrors are pretty good. Failure rate is pretty low to the best of my knowledge.

 

I've had mechanics manually pull my power mirrors in and out, not knowing that they were powered (I have a 2011 F350)

Since doing that doesn't hurt them, maybe manually fold and unfold the sticky mirror, and lube it with WD-40. Then see what the power button does.
