Thank you for your comment, much pleased.

It is nice. And was challenging but the thrill of the hunt was the driving factor. Now that that's done, time to sell and move on to another chase.

What is it you need to know?
You need to strip the anodizing off, you need a lot of small weird shaped hammers. You need to know how to do body work. You need to know how to sand aluminum, you need to know how to polish aluminum.
And if you use a commercial polisher like I use, you need,
HUGE CAJONES!! It's scary.
So really I don't know how to help you.

Gangsta, Do you clear coat the grille after you're finished to keep the aluminum from fading?

No, I use a hand polish and a sealer when I'm done with them.
Before final assembly my grilles are washed and all the rouge is removed from the back. I then use Master Formula
once this id done then I assemble.
Clear coat will yellow or make them look foggy. No anodize shop close by and the one shop I used in Los Angeles did such a crappy job I never went back.
So I continue to, commercial polish, hand polish then seal.

As I recall you said you've been doing this for 10 years now. I say don't fix what ain't broke. The way you do 'em comes out fantastic and well worth the money in my book. What ever it is.

Edit. And yes, you do deserve a bigger hat size.

Hang in there and check back Tanner. Since the little green lamp next to his name (like in post #66) isn't lit that tells us he isn't on the forum at the moment.

No such thing, can it be made, Yes The problem is the headlight bezels. True Ranger bezels are indented and painted black. Absolutely NO steel Ranger headlight bezels. I suppose I can make them, the price would be a problem though.
PM me and we can chat.

If you are on medication of any kind, go to another thread,
DO NOT PROCEED!!!
If you have clearance from a medical physician or are strong enough that when the wind gets sucked out of your lungs you won't collapse, then proceed....

ALL PARTS ARE NOS!!!!!
The time has arrived, all NOS parts have found a good home. It took the right person putting together the perfect truck to see these and had to have them. Only one more thrill left of these parts, the comment I will receive when the buyer opens the boxes. I wish I could be there to see his face first hand, but not to be. I will be getting a picture of it installed on his truck so this thread still lives, at least for now.

That's great, Robert.

I'm sure he'll be grinning from ear to ear.
