OT: Ford Barn

Was just on Ford Barn and I noticed they don't allow any OT posts. Man, that's kind of cold. The guys on the forum have been very helpful with questions about the 31 coupe I'm working on though. Which give me an excuse to post pictures of my progress. I know there are few FTE guys who have Model A's and wanted to follow this project so....enjoy

I'm glad you were able to find a way to take the body off without collapsing it. Nice solution.
Thanks for posting the pictures. This site is pretty tolerant of OT postings as long as they don't get out of hand. In this case, I don't see that happening.
Besides the techniques that you used to raise the body from the frame can be applied to old our trucks.

Thanks for the update
Bobby

Glad you guys enjoyed the photos. I think I'll just post them as Coupe progress so more people will know what's in the thread because I know there are more Model a fans on FTE. I guess my point about no OT posts was that many times many of us have vented about things in our lives on this forum and I can say from personal experience that the support during difficult situations in priceless and it's one of the best things about FTE and why I keep coming back and want to share this project with you guys. Thanks,

Ford put a V8 in the 32, right? Would one bolt
into your 31 without to much work?

Yeah, I was in the Model A section. It's on the top of the forum, just like important info is at the top the FTE forum. I saw some OT posts, I don't know if they were "reported" as the post instructed everyone who uses Ford Barn. I don't want report anyone. The guys are very helpful and understanding, nobody makes you feel stupid with stupid questions (like mine). Thanks for the kind words about the coupe. I plan to make as original as possible with a modern drive train and suspension. I want to put a Ford in a Ford, but a SBF has to be set back further cause of the water pump than a SBC. Not there yet anyway. Thanks to everyone for your interest in the project. I'll update it. Dean

As far as I know, a flathead could be a fairly easy swap, but as I just posted, SBF engines have to be set back further because of the water pump. I got a chassis made by Brookville Roadster from Honest Charlie's at the spring carlise show in PA. That will be the base of the build which I start next. Want to sell the chassis with engine etc and get out of the garage so I can start on the chassis. Dean

The Ford Barn is a site for buying/selling and is associated with the HAMB. If you want to post about projects or other things that aren't classified ads then go to the HAMB.
