Speaker adapters

I have a 99 F250 and I ordered these speakers from Amazon
Amazon.com : JBL GTO8628 6-Inch x 8-Inch/5-Inch x 7-Inch 2-Way Loudspeaker : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics Amazon.com : JBL GTO8628 6-Inch x 8-Inch/5-Inch x 7-Inch 2-Way Loudspeaker : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics
I've already checked and they will fit my truck. What I'm curious about is whether or not I should purchase an adapter for them. I've looked all over for a specific thread on this and can't seem to find anything. I know with a bit of common sense you can just wire them yourself. Does anyone know whether these will be simple plug and play or if I would need an adapter? Thanks for the help!

You would have to cut the Ford harness off and solder or use spade terminals the wire to the speaker. The adapters just connect to the Ford harness and I believe have the spade terminals on the other end for plug and play. I have used them before with good results.

Thanks! I just wanted to make sure that there was a specific adapter out there for my year of truck. I found these
Amazon.com : Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Select Ford Vehicles : Coaxial Car Speakers : Car Electronics Amazon.com : Metra 72-5600 Speaker Adapter for Select Ford Vehicles : Coaxial Car Speakers : Car Electronics
but went to Metraonline.com and put in the year of my truck and all the required info and that adapter didn't pop up as a usable piece for my truck. So I was just curious if anyone out there knows of a specific speaker harness for my truck.

They have them on Crutchfield and I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Best Buy also.

Best Buy carries them. I had them in my last two trucks. Don't cut your wires, use the adaptors for sure.
