Question about speaker hookup!!

I bought a pair of Pioneer speakers for my truck (99 Exp. Sport) and installed them. I couldnt tell which speaker wire was supposed to go on which blade connector on the speaker. When I tried them both ways, the speaker sounded the same. Does it matter which speaker wire (the truck's wiring) goes to which blad connector (the speaker connectors)? If so, since they sound the same both ways, then how do I find out which wire is which?
Thanks

Question about speaker hookup!!

I also replace my Exp factory speakers with Pioneer. I also purchased a Metra speaker harness kit for about $5 per speaker from Circuit City. It plugs right into the factory plug and then plugs on the Pioneer speaker. The Pioneer speaker has one small spade and one large spade as did the ends on the Metra wiring. You can't mess it up and you don't have to cut off the factory plug. Made installation a snap! Good luck!

Question about speaker hookup!!

Hello. With the speaker wires hooked up to the speaker, turn the volume up on the radio. Watch which way the speaker cone moves. If it moves towards you (out) then it's wired correctly. If it moves away from you then simply reverse the wires. Hope this helps.
