I have the split rear seat in my crew cab that has the storage tray below. The back of the seat can fold forward for access to storage area behind the seat. It doesn't fold down flat or have a hard back on it like my 2004 F-250 did. I really miss that feature because my dog used to like to lay up there and have a great view. Is there an optional seat I can get to have the fold down rear seat that lays flat?

 

I guess nobody has the same experience. Maybe I can buy a seat out of a salvage truck. I'll have to find out what seat will bolt in.

 

There are factory flat FLOORS that can be used to replace the storage trays.

I think they are from the 06-10 year trucks. But I have not seen anything to make the Back of the Back seat fold flat. (at least in the CC's)

 

My 99 F-250 Supercab Lariat does but I don't know if that will work, for you.

Why not add a "starboard" backing plate to the seat you have. I use starboard sheeting in all kinds of boat repairs we do up here in Chicago and it comes in a few different thickness. It also comes in colors too. Works just like wood but better looking and indestructible!!

 

But the seat doesn't fold flat. Poor pooch would slide down the slope to the back of the cab when I take off. I'm going to research switching seats with another truck. Or just live with it. He does like the leather seat - he snores loud too!

 

Go to local salvage yard and find the 06-10 model trucks with the flat rack under the seats....you will have a flat floor for dog and still have seats...
