Truck squat?

Hi guys, I recently bought a 2012 lariat CC 4x4 with 30k on it. I have a little lawn business on the side with a 6x10 open utility trailer and a 36" walk behind that weighs about 350-400lbs. My question is, should something that light really squat the truck down? Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. But it's noticeable. And another example, I had the mower in the bed and my four wheeler on the trailer and at night it was squatting bad enough that multiple people flashed their high beams at me thinking mine were on. Thanks for any feedback

you didn't state whether or not it is a F-250 but from the symptom of you inquiry I am guessing that it is. It is a known problem that has been addressed by Ford with an admission of "yep, it does that". If I recall the fix is to replace the rear spring blocks. But, I'm sure someone else will come along who has experienced and repaired this issue for you soon.

There is a dealer fix.
Customer has to pay.
Includes 4' blocks, shocks and drive shaft.

Exactly why my 2012 F250 Lariat 4x4 CC has airbags. With that much weight either in the truck bed or on my 10' trailer, with 15 lbs of air in the bags there is no sag. When I hook up the 5er and put 2600 lbs on the rear frame (including hitch) 35 lbs of air levels everything out.

Like Ford says, "It does that."
