1947 1 ton panel emergency brake cables

Are they broken or just stuck? I was very surprised to be able to free up and re-use mine. I got them along with the rear axle off a trailer that was in the damp, dark woods. I heated them with a mapp gas torch, then sprayed with PB blaster. Repeated a few times and was able to get some movement. Soon they were as free as new. I do have a set of brake cables from a '38 tonner. These are service brake cables just before they went to juice brakes. They are NOS. Also try Bob Selzam in New Jersey. 732 928 9421. Or Chuck's Trucks in Conneticut. Is yours the one with the circus graphics on the side?
