no brake lights

My # 13 fuse keeps blowing each time I push on the brakes. All other lights work. I unplugged the two plugs at the rear bumper. It blows the fuse, when I push on the brakes.

I tried unplugged the plug at the bottom of the steering column, with the green wire. The fuse didn't blow. The two rear plugs are still unplugged.

I unplugged the two plugs at the bottom of the column, the multifunction switch and the two plugs at the rear bumper. While I pushed on the brake pedal this time the High Beam On indicator, came on. My lights were not turned on and the key was not in the ignition. Fuse 13 didn't blow when I pressed on the brake.

Also I read the most common issue was the plug to the master cylinder leaking into the plug. Mine was ok. What should I check next?

I still say you have a wiring problem in the column.

Don't you already have a week-long thread about this issue? Why are you starting a new one?

Testing wires at column

Hoping to make it easy for you guys to understand what's going on. I screwed up a few posts. The first post is everything that I did so far.

So next should I do a Omhs test? Each wire going between the multifuntion switch and bottom column plug?

wire colors are not the same

Dave, the wire colors are different from the top of the column to the bottom plug. Except for the light green wire. That one had 22.2 k ohms. So the wires don't go straight from the top of the column to the bottom?

I don't have a good enough diagram for that year to tell you what the colors are from connector to connector. I believe the wire from the hazard flasher is a lightblue. It should go on up through.
