C1AE-6090-A head interchange? D2TE

I was talking about this a bit in another thread, thought I'd start a fresh one.
I was in need of a new set of heads for my 69 2v 360 truck application. I bought a set of completely reworked C1AE heads, I thought I was buying C8AE heads, the same that's on my truck just redone. Will this head work on my 360 w/ stock exhaust and intake manifolds? I've been researching and the best I could come up with is there a little larger cc and have a better flow??? and are originally from early 61- 63 police interceptor? The only thing I can see is the combustion chamber shape is different (I physically don't have the heads yet) I know the D2 heads are a sure bet but are these ok to use? Along with a re-ring and bearings I'd like to use a RV type camshaft. Not looking for high RPM street rod just a good running truck with a little more bark, if you will.
Anybody have good knowledge as to what I want to do?

FE heads are completely interchangeable in regards to what direction they go on the engine. Make sure when you put the heads back on, you get the proper gaskets. The correct gasket will have one of the water ports in the head closed. Do not cut out a opening for both water ports or you will have serious over heating issues.

Im having a hard time following your questions. You are looking to run two different heads on the same engine? The only difference in regards to heads is usually the size of the intake / exhaust valves. I cannot confirm anything, but I would imagine having to different size heads may cause a bit of an unbalance in the engine. I believe the firing order is 15426378 (off the top of my head, may be a bit wrong). If 1234 were running slightly different than 5678 I would imagine there would be a slight imbalance.

If you are asking whether or not the heads will fit on the engine, then yes. If they are both the same head (as in you have 2 of them) they will work. I do not know the entire range of FEs off the top of my head something between 332 352 360 390 428 that al have interchangeable blocks, intakes, heads, etc.

A buddy of mine is running C8AE H heads on his 69 F100 with a FE 360.

I believe C1AE is early 352 / 390 heads.

The early heads have tall port sizes and maybe bump up the compression a bit as a different cc. So it's better to use a small intake ports into tall port heads ,then Tall ports into small ports heads. As it a causes more of a turbulence when port sizes don't match up with mismatched head ports.

The firing order don't mean zip as all Fe & FT is the same 15426378
