air bag
ok here is one. what is this code from the air bag i get. when i turn on the truck i get 4 and then 6 flashes in the air bag slight. it does that 4 or 5 times then either stays on or turns off. i just got this today after i took the bag out placed it on the wheel to repair the cruise buttons with the updates i posted yesterday. i unplugged it and plugged it back in and the same thing. any ideas or will it go away after some use? thanks this thing is starting to remind me why i sold my mustang years ago (ford) seems like i have worked more on this thing since i got it 4 weeks ago that all the rest of my cars since that mustang.

If it flashes then goes out compleatly and doesn't come back on again until you restart the vehicle I wouldn't worry about it.
If it flashes, then comes back again before you shut off or restart the vehicle then you have an error code in the Airbag computer itself and its possible the airbags might not deploy in an accident.
*The airbag computer is telling you there is a connection issue with one (or more) of the airbags*
(Be sure to check your airbag electrical connections)
Most all vehicles will do this when the air bag is removed with the power still connected. You might need an airbag reset tool to clear the codes in the airbag computer if you turned the truck on with the airbag disconnected. It is possible it will go away on its own with drive time but I cannot say for sure.
Airbags are a touchy subject for all do it yourselfers. An airbag with a shorted wire can cause it to deploy prematurely or not at all, So the Airbag computer is VERY touchy, on all vehicles. (the newer vehicle the more fickle).

yes that is what must have happened. i did not at first disconnect it but later i did and connected another one to make sure. i will see if after awhile it will reset itself if not i will go to advance auto and have them reset it for me if they can. i have to get me a scanner that can read abs air bags transmissions and of course obd2 codes and reset them. any suggestions? thanks for the help.

well for what ever reason today the airbag light went off. it was code 46 it was flashing and i moved some wires under the passenger seat and then when o got back in the light was off. so maybe i had a loose connection ? i did have that seat out. then again it may have just had enough time to reset itself. so i will give it some time to see if it returns and after a week or so post the final results. thanks
