Correct engine color
Anyone know what the correct engine color is for a '49 254 cid six cylinder engine?

Is that true for all 48-52? I thought I read that the engine color changed at some point. Mine is a 52 with 239 V8. What is that engine color?

I thought the '49/'50 254 engine was a blue/green color. Not completely sure though.

my 50 F5 has a red head and a greenish block so I'm really confused

For what it's worth, the period brochures for the 226 I6 showed them to be Ford engine red. That matched my unmolested survivor.

49 Ford Cars Blue (late 49 Bronze), Mercury Green, Trucks Dark Red, Big Jobs Dark Blue or Green (Late 49 Bronze of Green)
