I was wondering how a APP would do. Not sure about the quality of the mice on the phones.

Looks like the iPhone mic might be able to give a decent reading. I have a Moto G. I'll try an APP for Android and see how it does.

I'd like to see if Hotshot's clears yours up. I had a cold start issue on #3 & #7 and know it worked. $45 for a jug but you get 2 oil changes out of it. I skipped a service once and the issue came back. I'm using it again and again it cleared up.

As for Archoil, I've never seen it sold locally so I never tried it.

I believe Yahiko's issue is on the fuel side of the injector, or possibly weak coils, therefore, electrical.

With his being #7 and #8, both rear injectors, leads me to believe a possible low fuel pressure at some point as those 2 would experience the lowest PSI in that event.

Got some old videos for you

And the last one just before I changed the oil.

I agree with Josh. I did add a blue spring right after I got it.
It had 145K miles on it at that point. I am going to replace both 7 & 8
here in the next week or two. Just waiting on the core refund for the
transmission to clear and get back in my account.

Did you say the outside temperature was 68 degrees in that top video or was that the oil temp at time of startup? I wish my cold starts were that warm. I've never seen stiction bad enough to hurt injectors at that temperature

It doesn't have to be sub zero temps. Mine wouldn't clear up until oil temp was above 115°F. Now that I'm back to adding Hotshot's every service it's fine , even at 9°. Having IDS I was able to confirm it worked. This is on my personal truck in the sig.

That's crazy, that has to be severe stiction. Sucks that you have to spend 60$ extra per oil change. How many times until you get new injectors? Snake oil is just a cover up

I get it for 45$ and you get 2 oil changes out of it. I change oil every 200 hours or 7,000 miles whichever comes first. That term Snake oil you throw around, I consider to be the stuff with unseen results. This stuff works.
Whether it gets me through a winter or if it cleans it up permanently, either way I'm happy. I will ween it of it come spring and see if it's still good. If it's not, I'll throw an injector or two in it. The weather should be nicer by then.

snake oil is the thing that keeps you spending money. they would never release anything that cleaned injectors up long term, where's the money to be made there.

I just run shell t-6 full synthetic and my truck can start without a hiccup up to -30 not plugged in. Although it is loud enough to wake the neighbour hood with that cold of oil

-30c? Which is -22f, not too shabby unplugged. I used to go down to -15 unplugged, now I'll plug in around 10-15f.

If that's -30f, video proof or it never happened.

I've had the hss in mine for about 5k and it just recently has helped marginally for me. I'll run it the full 7500 miles but probably won't be using it again. Now on the fuel side I did like the diesel extreme. I noticed an immediate impact. Moving forward I'll be sticking with Dk and 2 stroke oil.

I really just think diesel fuel/oil additives are hit and miss, for anyone
