I have had people call her the Tangerine Machine. She is a 1974 F100 4x4, has a 390ci, 2bbl carb, 3:50 ratio, and a pretty sweet addition of a side bed toolbox to her! She aint perfect yet, but she sounds and looks pretty good for being 41 years old in March!!
What is up with the visor up front? I've seen one on a 78 near me and thought it was aftermarket, but you seem to have the same one. Nice truck too! Really cool color. Not every body style can pull off oranges, blues, reds, and different shades of brown but our trucks seem to do really well with them. Your trucks is super slick.
Very sweet, that thing is clean. . . I also had I set of rims like that on my bronco.. I got rid of them a month or two ago. Guy said he special ordered them back in the 80s and at that time they were considered an older retro design.
i know that car wash,i think ,MC maybe. Where in Mich.? Im in Grass lake. I painted my buddies 77 orange back in the early 80's, i hve only a couple pic's of it but arent pretty, nice looking truck and Rich is correct, the bottom trim hides a lot.
I love the orange color on dents, it was the color of my first new truck I bought when I was 16yrs old, 1977 F250 hiboy!! I wouldn't paint the TB handle, I took mine off and sanded it with 3000 grit then polished it with a dremel tool using flitz polish and it looks great!!
I'm in Michigan also. Where did you find that clean truck or did you restore it. Don't see too many of those here unless someone takes the time and effort, not to mention money to restore them. Nice truck man.
