transmission shifting hard?

hey guys looking for any ideas why my transmission is shifting hard from 1st to 2nd? Its the E4OD automatic. I already did a trans flush with new filter and there was no metal or anything in the old fluid or magnet so im guessing it might be the TPS or something. any tips would help, thanks

Check the transmission solenoid harness connector. If oil intrudes in between the solenoid and the connection harness it will cause a cross short and make the trans do all kinds of weird things. If oil found replace the solenoid pack.

the solenoid pack is located right by trans filter correct? so I would have to drop the pan again to check it

It can be checked without dropping the pan. Passengers side towards the rear. Remove the heat shield then un hook the harness where it goes into the solenoid pack. If you see any oil on the connection harness receptacle that's more then likely your issue. It crosses the signals and messes with the electronic pressure solenoid and shift solenoid.

Was this the issue? Mine shifts hard 1-2 as well.

sorry it took so long to reply back, im in the Army so im away a lot..... but I did pull the wiring harness and there was fluid on the connection. so I cleaned it all off really good and reconnected it and the problem was solved. now I just need to get a new solenoid pack to solve the problem for good.
