Windshield wipers on startup

I wonder if it is momentary low system voltage issue......
Say your starter is drawing to much current or the batteries are right on the edge.....but your truck fires so quickly you don't really notice....and for the few moments it takes for the alternator to kick in you system voltage drops down to 8 or 9 volts.....
I have lost the alternator twice in my truck and both times the windshield wipers came on when the battery voltage dropped down around 8vdc.
Just thinking out loud......

If you're concerned, you can always have your dealer take a look. Don't want to make a special trip? Bring it up the next time you're in for a maintenance visit. If you decide to get your dealership involved, come back here and tell us how things went.
