Bad oil leak

Hey all, I have a pretty bad oil leak on my 95 f150 with the inline 6. I've narrowed it down to the oil pan gasket. I have seen 4 piece oil pan Gaskets available for this engine, and I feel like this would be an easy alternative to a one piece gasket as lifting the engine and all that jazz could be avoided. (In theory at least) I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with these and if any rtv would be necessary in the spots where the four parts of the gasket would meet. Thanks!

conventionally, the less "pieces" of a gasket, the better. rtv is typical for use in corners and such, but its a bandaid anywhere else. I wont say I haven't used it on stuff I really didnt care about, but the idea of using it and relying on it is not necessarily a good idea.

I figured as much. I mean at this point a band aid is better than nothing. It is a bad leak haha. I have to add a half a quart every other day if I drive it a lot in a week. it's got 217000 miles on it now. Otherwise it is a great truck. It was originally from Hawaii so the body and frame are very clean still after almost 5 full minnesota winters. I am thinking of yanking the 6 this summer and finding a 351 or 302 to drop in place, or modifying the 6. But that's a different can o worms. I appreciate the input!

are you sure its leaking all that? two quarts a week is a poop ton of oil to be leaking. . .if it really is leaking all that, it explains why your truck is still rust free...

id venture to say you are burning oil also, but if you are leaking two quarts a week youll definitely know it, it'll be all over everything - frame, tailgate, cars behind you, and your oil pad will have a driveway in it.

I'm honestly not sure if it is burning oil, it's been leaking that bad for awhile. It didn't burn hardly any before it was bad, and yes it does leave a healthy film underneath the truck, and yes stains aplenty. That's mainly why I would like to fix it. I am very aware of the leak, I just have never gotten around to fixing it as I don't really drive it to often.
