Metal work

My shop specializes in dents and I do a lot of custom fab work. Today I was bored waiting for a customer to show up, so I made a 1/2 scale door skin for a dent pick up. This will go in the booth during trade shows. I plan on painting it black and putting the "Earthquake" graphic on it. (my monster truck)

I'm not trying to sell anything here, just showing off a little, I guess.

It'll be cool hanging in the man cave in between shows, too!

Cool.

I'd like to see a 4x4 Ranger mini-truck reskinned as a 3/4-scale, 79 Dentside.

It's doable.... JY fenders, bedside metal, and section the tailgate, grill and insert, hood.

Call it "Project Nip Tuck"... or more appropriate for yer shop, "Tremor"

Boring.... I want to see this finished...get with it! I want a ride in it too. lol

Nice mini door for the up coming show. Looks great Alan, like all your work.

I remember seeing the front leaf spring being the only part you had for the C cab...and it sure has come a long long way. Post some current pics, like the cool dash and the running boards!

The C-cab as it sits today.

I don't have any shots of the dash area or pedal assemblies yet.

Here's the inside of a '48 Ford I did. 4 1/2" channel down over the frame rails and room enough for fuel injected 300 six and a 5 speed manual trans with hydraulic clutch.

Thanks Earthquake68. While I struggle for hours to restore my 79 driver side door, you sit around bored and bang out a beautiful 1/2 scale door skin in a few hours.

Nice work. And remember, "it's not bragging if you can back it up".

Now I have to go find that book that teaches me how to be a metal fabricator in a single weekend.

Let me just go sell my welder now... Nice work. Now if only you would get in the business of making patch panels that actually fit these trucks instead of stamped Taiwan steel. I'm sure you could make some good money off that.

Looked here? https://tabcoparts.com/amfinder/ They have a pretty good FTE rep.
