My 2004 EB 6.0 2wd Interior lights do not come on. Running boards lights do. Pulled the fuse and its good. Is there a Interior light relay some where in the truck??? Any ideas are greatly appreciated...
Check the owners manual. There are quite a few relays in the fuse boxes. Some deal with interior lighting. I had the same problem with my '01 and replacing a relay was the fix. I believe it was in the underhood fuse box.
Are the interior lights the only thing that are not working, Lots of problems around like this and usually its the cluster which controls the interior lights. When mine acts up the windows and radio don't work either...
With mine, the interior lights didn't come on when the doors were opened or when switched on from the dash. The overhead lights could be switched on manually IIRC. Simple relay. I believe it's even called interior light relay in the owners manual. Also, IIRC, it works in conjunction with another relay. So make sure if you try to swap it with another to see if it is bad, it isn't the one it works in conjunction with.
Edit: Oops, I was wrong. It's Relay1 under the dash in my truck.
Everything else works fine so far. Cluster works, windows too. Just the interior lights. I might switch out the instrument cluster with one of my other ex's. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
